Green Sports Day 2025

On October 12, during the Raiders vs. Titans game, Allegiant Stadium celebrated Green Sports Day, an eco-focused holiday highlighting sustainability in sports. In recognition of the day, the Stadium Sustainability team hosted a tabling activation on-site in collaboration with Desert Love, a local Southern Nevada nonprofit.

The activation provided fans with an opportunity to learn more about the wide range of sustainability programs and projects at Allegiant Stadium. Highlights included:

  • The stadium’s 100% renewable energy program

  • Water-efficient landscaping initiatives designed for desert climates

  • Information on green transportation options available to fans and event staff

Through this interactive engagement, the Stadium Sustainability program reinforced Allegiant Stadium’s commitment to reducing environmental impact while operating one of the world’s premier sports and entertainment venues.

As part of the activation, Desert Love shared education and resources focused on the importance of native and regional plants. Fans learned how native plants support local ecosystems while offering practical benefits such as reduced water usage, heat resilience, and low-maintenance care.

About Desert Love

Desert Love is dedicated to making native plants accessible and desirable for all. Through Education, Conservation, and Observation (ECO), we empower individuals to see native plants not just as an option, but as the most resilient, intelligent, and ecologically vital choice for Southern Nevada.

By increasing awareness, we help people recognize the interconnectedness of native plants with the broader ecosystem while also highlighting their practical benefits—such as minimal water needs, heat resilience, and low-maintenance care—that make them the smart choice for Southern Nevada landscapes.
